The Genesis GV70 gets a refresh for 2026, updates include new headlights, a new grille pattern, new wheel designs, and a few additional visual enhancements for the Sport trim level. Genesis has also made small changes to the steering and suspension to improve the ride and handling. Inside gets a large 27-inch widescreen display that stretches across much of the dashboard and serves as both the digital gauge cluster and the central infotainment screen.

The 2026 GV70 is available in six trim levels: 2.5T, 2.5T Select, 2.5T Advanced, 2.5T Sport Prestige, 3.5T Sport Advanced, and 3.5T Sport Prestige.

It is only available in AWD and comes powered by two engine choices that include the standard turbocharged 2.5L four-cylinder or a twin-turbo 3.5L V6. The 2.5L four-cylinder is rated at 300 horsepower and 311 lb-ft of torque. While the 3.5L V6 engine makes 375 horsepower and 391 lb-ft of torque. Both engines are mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox.

Being a luxury vehicle, even the GV70 base model comes exceptionally well-equipped, the standard trim is packed full of equipment that is typically optional in lesser vehicles. Standard equipment includes heated front seats, a power liftgate, heated side mirrors, a leather steering wheel, and 19-inch alloy wheels.

The GV70 infotainment system comes standard with a 9-speaker sound system, 27-inch touchscreen, satellite radio, integrated voice-activated navigation system, mobile hotspot, wireless phone connectivity with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 4 USB ports, and Bluetooth integration.

Additional convenient features on the luxurious GV70 include keyless entry, push button start, front and rear parking sensors, one-touch power windows, rain detecting wipers, HomeLink compatibility, hill hold control, auto high-beam, Genesis Connected Car Services and the advantageous Highway Driving Assist.

The 2.5T Select trim and all subsequent trims add a panoramic sunroof with express open/close, power folding mirrors with power remote tilt down, memory (driver seat, door mirrors and steering wheel), and front wireless device charging.

The 2.5T Advanced trim adds a 16-speaker Bang & Olufsen stereo system and ventilated driver and passenger front seats, which are also included on all higher trims, while the 2.5T Sport Prestige and 3.5T Sport Prestige add 21-inch wheels as standard.

The 3.5T Sport Advanced and 3.5T Sport Prestige trims add an exceptional number of premium features for the luxury SUV, these include predictive adaptive suspension, front and rear painted calipers, and leather rear seats.

This vehicle is equipped with several safety features including anti-lock brakes, electronic stability, traction control, and 8 airbags which includes side curtain with driver knee protection.

The GV70 also comes loaded with advanced safety systems such as driver attention warning, active blind-spot, active lane keep assist, forward collision mitigation w/left turn assist, rear collision mitigation, and front pedestrian detection prevention.

The GV70 is Genesis's entrant into the compact luxury SUV segment. In terms of size and features, the GV70 competes directly with the Audi Q5, BMW X3, Mercedes-Benz GLC, and Porsche Macan. While very well-equipped, the Genesis is priced closer to entry-level luxury cars offered by those same prevalent competitors. The Genesis represents excellent luxury value, with a luxury and performance value ratio better than nearly any rival in its segment.
