Volvo XC40
The Volvo XC40 comes in four different trim options, with the Core and Plus trim options being offered in both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive. The Ultra and Ultra Black Edition trims are exclusively offered in all-wheel drive. The XC40 has a standard turbocharged 4-cylinder 2.0L engine mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. The front-wheel drive trims of the XC40 possess a B4 mild hybrid powertrain that produces 194 horsepower and 221 lb.-ft of torque. The all-wheel drive trims of the XC40 possess a B5 mild hybrid powertrain producing 247 horsepower and 258 lb.-ft of torque.
The Core trim includes all of the typical features expected in an entry level luxury vehicle including a 9-inch touchscreen multimedia display, smartphone integration, a park assist camera, auto LED headlights, automatic dual zone air conditioning, satellite radio capabilities, a powered driver's seat with memory, integrated navigation with voice control, adaptive cruise control, a digital information cluster, heated front seats, 18-inch alloy wheels and tinted windows.
The Plus trim adds a panoramic sunroof, LED front fog lights, 19-inch alloy wheels, a power adjustable passenger seat, leather upholstery with wood trim finishes, a cabin ionizer, surround view cameras and a garage door opener.
The Ultra trim adds projector beam automatic headlights, cornering lights, 20-inch alloy wheels, an upgraded 13-speaker branded sound system, and hands-on steering assistance.
The Ultra Black Edition trim is composed of a unique appearance package, which switches out the leather seat trim for simulated suede and adds a two-tone paint design.
Standard safety features for the XC40 include 7 airbags, front and rear parking sensors, an active lane departure warning system, forward and rear collision mitigation, left turn assist, pedestrian detection, a driver attention alert, and a traffic sign recognition system.
