Mitsubishi Outlander Plug-In Hybrid
There are six different versions of the all-wheel drive Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV for 2025: ES, SE, SE Ralliart, SEL, SEL Black Edition, and SEL Platinum Edition. The Outlander PHEV is powered by a 2.4L 4-cylinder engine that produces 131 horsepower mated to an automatic transmission. The addition of the electric motor increases the total output to 448 horsepower. With an all-electric range of 38 miles, the total range of the Outlander PHEV is 420 miles. Charging time is around 6.5 hours using a level 2 charger while using a fast charger decreases that time to around an hour.
The Outlander PHEV is well equipped with rear spoiler, side mirrors with integrated turn signals, LED headlights, 18-inch wheels, heated front seats, automatic dual-zone climate control, satellite radio, 8-inch touchscreen, cruise control, 12V DC power outlet, wireless device connectivity, 2 USB ports, and 12.3-inch gauge cluster.
The SE trim adds a power liftgate, heated power folding side mirrors, LED front fog lights, 20-inch wheels, power driver seat, HD radio, 9-inch touchscreen, voice activated navigation, adaptive cruise control, wireless device charging, 4 USB ports, push button start, and surround view camera system.
The SEL features power sunroof, power front seats, heated rear seats, leather upholstery, driver seat memory, ambient lighting, separate rear controls for the climate control system, and heated leather steering wheel.
Safety features across the lineup include 10 airbags, parking sensors, lane departure warning, forward and rear collision mitigation, and driver attention alert. The higher-level trims upgrade the lane departure and blind spot systems (to active and add front and rear pedestrian detection system), driver attention alert, and traffic sign information system.
