Mazda CX-90 PHEV
The 2026 Mazda CX-90 PHEV comes in three trims: Preferred, Premium Sport, and Premium Plus trims; it is a mid-size three-row SUV with standard all-wheel drive and seating for seven or eight. It features an 8-speed automatic transmission mated to a 2.5L 4-cylinder engine that produces 185 horsepower and 184 lb.-ft of torque. When combined with the electric motor, the total system output is 323 horsepower.
The CX-90 PHEV has an all-electric range of 26.1 miles and when combined with the gas engine creates a total range of 490 miles. The CX-90 PHEV has a charging time of 1.5 hours using a 240-volt level 2 charger.
Even the base model is nicely equipped, with three rows of seating for up to eight passengers, 3-zone automatic climate control, a leather wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, 8-way power front seats, driver seat memory, ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, auto high-beam, push-button start, Mazda Connect infotainment system with a 12.3-inch touchscreen display screen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, mobile hotspot, a rear view camera, and Bluetooth hands-free connectivity. The exterior of the CX-90 is highlighted by 21-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, daytime running and taillights, heated mirrors, rain-sensing windshield wipers, a rear spoiler, and dual exhaust outlets.
The Premium Sport trim features post-collision braking, a larger sunroof, auto-dimming rearview mirror, satellite radio, a 12-speaker sound system, power folding mirrors, a garage door transmitter, head-up display, and voice activated navigation.
The Premium Plus trim adds ambient lighting, two 120V AC outlets, and surround view camera with aerial view.
Standard safety features across the trim lineup include active lane departure, blind spot warning, forward collision mitigation, rear collision warning, front and rear parking sensors, front pedestrian detection, driver attention alert, and eight airbags. Additional safety features on the Premium Plus trim feature rear collision mitigation, front cross traffic mitigation, driver side door mirror with power remote tilt down, directionally adaptive headlamps, and a security system.
